General Manager – 45-60K – Ipswich Our client is a leading healthcare organisation with a national network of nursing and residential homes across the UK that provide care and support for older people. They are currently seeking an experienced General Manager for their newly commission 55 bed nursing, residential and dementia service in the Ipswich area. You will have overall responsibility of all clinical and business aspects of the home, including marketing and filling beds, business management and home facilities. You will work closing with the management team ensuring the highest care standards are upheld for residents within the home. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the care home, with overall responsibility of the home and meeting its statement of purpose. To regularly monitor all areas of the service to ensure at all times the highest achievable standards of care are delivered to the client whilst working within the defined company policies and procedures. Ensure all nursing and care practices are evidence based and reflect current trends. Provide a role model for all other trained nurses working within the Home. Create an open, positive and inclusive atmosphere. Demonstrate strong positive ideas about professional practice and development and promote the rights of the service users (particularly privacy, dignity, independence, choice and self fulfilment) whilst adhering to National Minimum Standards, and all relevant legislative requirements. Ideal candidate will have experience of managing a large Nursing Home and have up to date knowledge of CQC requirements. You must have excellent marketing skills and ideally knowledge of dementia care. You will need to be a 1st level nurse and ideally hold NVQ4/RMA.
